Roethlisberger says suspended Steelers receiver Bryant lied to him
Despite losing one star wide receiver for the entire season and possibly his former All-Pro running back for the first four games, Ben Roethlisberger said today that the Steelers offense can be "as good as we want to be."But he said he is deeply disappointed in wide receiver Martavis Bryant for not only getting suspended for the season but for lying to him about "some things" before and after the suspension was announced.Roethlisberger told the Post-Gazette Friday that he believes Markus Wheaton, Sammie Coates and other wide receivers can make up for the loss of Bryant, who was suspended for 2016 because of multiple failed drug tests.Roethlisberger hopes that halfback Le'Veon Bell wins his appeal on his four-game suspension for also failing drug tests but held back opinion that until a decision is made.
