Latest Media Update Indicates CB Senquez Golson Could Be Out 4 Months
Latest Media Update Indicates CB Senquez Golson Could Be Out 4 MonthsIt's starting to sound like Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Senquez Golson might indeed spend his second straight season on the team's injured reserve list after suffering a mid-foot injury during the team's Monday training camp practiceOn Tuesday, the NFL Network reported that Golson, the team's second-round draft pick last year, suffered a Lisfranc injury and thus could possibly be out of action for as long as 12 weeks or more.A short time ago, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirmed the earlier report and added that Golson could be out four months as it "takes longer for skill players."UPDATE: Dulac posted late Tuesday night that it's still unclear whether or not Golson will need surgery as they need to wait until the swelling goes down.At this point, it's pretty much guaranteed that Golson will start the 2016 regular season on the team's injured reserve list and while he could ultimately return later on in the season under the designated to return tag, the team might ultimately decide to use their lone option on another player if one suffers a non-season ending injury over the course of the next several weeks and months.
